Miserable at Work

Hello, this is my very first ever blog post. I've been telling my friends and family I am going to start a blog for almost 10 years now, but I kept putting it off. Why am I motivated to start a blog now? I have no idea!

Like the majority of people, I hate my job or more specifically I hate the idea of working for 30-40 years, collecting a pay check just to survive. It's depressing when you think about it. There has to be more to life than just working mindlessly for a corporation that can replace you so easily. I am only 29, I've been working for 12 years and the thought of continuing to feel like this for another 30-40 years scares me.

Our generation is honestly set up for failure. With the cost of living being so high and our wages not being enough to cover rent, food, insurance we are forced to continue working these, low income jobs. Here in Ottawa, you cannot rent a 1 bedroom house without paying close to $2000 a month, and a lot of times these houses aren't in good condition. So what do we do? We just work, work and work. We put up with horrible bosses, unfair timelines, forced overtime and we end up burnt out. We end up unhappy. We end up questioning how do we stop this cycle.

I'll give you guys the solution on my next post!
